In the future I would like to be a surgeon. The SLAS experience would greatly contribute towards the realization of this dream. My role model is Ben Carson and my mentor Ammy Dama all because of their diligence, brightness, empowerment anthem and the zeal and zest they have towards achieving their goals. Being a lover of science I would one day like to pursue a career science.

Joining the SLAS program is a lifetime opportunity that has opened doors of my life. From the first day’s experience; the aptitude test and the interview, all have put me at a better edge in the competitive world. My first rotation was at the Community Liason Group (CLG) was very interesting and educative. I learnt that the CLG department is a bridge or a link between the community and KEMRI. It ensures that a good relationship is maintained between KEMRI the community .it does this by initiating different programs such as having open days, going for barazas, the radio program, electing KEMRI community representatives. I had a chance of attending the barazas and The Community Advisory Board training which was very educative.
